Airgunners of Arizona TRAC match – May 12, 2020 – Rifle Silhouette range
BASF – Phoenix, AZ

We shot from under the shade canopy today…..by (overwhelming) popular request.  The shade was appreciated and made it feel cooler than it was, but also acted as a venturi for the wind coming from about 7:00 o’clock….mostly.  It was squirrely, as usual and contributed to some weird shots down range.

Six guys today.  Terry was missing but Ben brought along his son, Craig, who is a first-time shooter of this game.

We set the usual 5 lanes / 2 targets per / shoot through once / move targets / shoot through the second time / 40 shot match.  The only difference was that almost all the targets were beyond 40 yards with minor exception.

The old man, Mike (Thomas), shot 37/40, followed by Barry (Red Wolf) with a 36, followed by Larry (Grand Prix) with a 35.  Ben (BSA Gold Star) had a 29, Mark (TX200) had a 21, and Craig (shared Gold Star) shot 18.

No pics today, but started at 9:15 and finished by 11:30.  Everything collected, put away, and off site by 12:00.  We have it down to a science.

If you have time and want to join us, c’mon out.  Two more Tuesday’s to go in May, along with our monthly match on the 4th Saturday in May on the Rifle Silhouette range.  We meet at 8:00 and go from there on Tuesdays.

Governor Ducey is removing the stay-at-home order on Friday and BASF is slowly loosening restrictions on range usage.  More on that to follow when the notice goes out for the monthly match.

Respectfully submitted,

Mark Kauffman, Secretary – Airgunners of Arizona, Inc.
