Second Annual Spring Fling in the desert
April 18 (Fri) & 19 (Sat), 2025 – Ben Avery Shooting Facility, Phoenix, AZ

Piston Match will be a two-day competition and will consist of 96 shots. 48 shots on both days. Sight in 8:00 am, 9:45 am mandatory shooters meeting, 10:00 am match start. AAFTA rules will govern.
Sight in available on Thursday afternoon after course is finished being set, and open until 5:00 pm.
Match Awards will be presented on Saturday as soon after the match as possible.
Medals will be awarded 1st through 3rd for Open Piston, WFTF Piston, and Hunter Piston.
A state champion medal (AZ resident) will be awarded for each class. There will be no
consolidation of classes.
Match fee is $50.00. Preregistration is requested. Registration can be made online under "Match Registration" We will accept walk-in piston competitors on the first day of the match for a late registration fee of $60.
Lodging is available at 25+ motels/hotels/B&B within 5 miles of the range. These are clustered in the area of Happy Valley Road and I-17 in Phoenix. Please refer to Google Maps for specific lodging locations and directions to each. All major chains are represented.
Meals are not provided at the match due to an abundance of cafes/fast food/restaurants within 5 miles of the range, in same locations as lodging, and also immediately to the east of the range complex.

2025 Arizona State PCP Field Target Championships & AAFTA Grand Prix

August 15 (Fri), 16 (Sat), & 17 (Sun), 2025 – Mormon Lake, AZ

Lodging is available at various hotels in Flagstaff, approximately 20 miles north of the shooting venue, or at Mormon Lake Lodge, located about 8 miles south of the shooting venue (www.mormonlakelodge.com). Check Google Maps for area specifics and location.

Pistol Match will consist of 40 shots on Friday starting 2:00 pm. Sight in range will open at 12:00 pm
Rifle Match will consist of at least 50 shots on Saturday and at least 50 shots on Sunday. Sight in 8:00 am both days. Shooter’s meeting will be 9:15 am and match start time will be 9:30 am, both days. AAFTA rules will govern for all matches.

Match fees are $20.00 for the pistol match and $80.00 for the rifle match for shooters who preregister. Preregistration is requested. Registration can be made online at www.airgunnersofarizona.org/match-registration Pre-registration is open until August 4, 2025. Late registration, or the day of the match will be $30.00 for pistol and $90.00 for rifle per shooter.

Lunch will be provided on Saturday after the rifle match is complete. If you require special dietary considerations, please let us know in advance.

The AAFTA Grand Prix Circuit has finished for 2024 with the culminations of the National Championships.
Five club members did extremely well in these final standings, as well;
Lauren Parsons – 1st place in WFTF PCP class
Barbara Pellegrino – 1st place in Hunter PCP
Tony Pellegrino – 2nd place in Hunter Piston
Larry Piercy – 4th place in Open PCP
Mark Kauffman – 1st place in Open Piston
Airgunners of Arizona was well represented. Great job guys and keep up the good work!
