May Match Report - Monthly Match
Saturday, May 17, 2025 - Small bore/ BASF –Phoenix AZ
Wayne Mauler, Match Director

This month, we were blessed with bright blue skies, big puffy cumulus clouds, and the
forecast was “light and variable” winds. Those same clouds were moving pretty good in
the upper atmosphere, and we almost thought we were going to get hammered by the
wind, but we didn’t until almost the end of the match.
The wind was light at the beginning of the match, anywhere from non-existent up to 5
mph and the temp started out a nice 74 deg. We set up our usual 48-shot course, but did
decide to have a forced positions lane of 4 shots. The higher scores were indicative of
that.
We had 14 shooters today. Those who did shoot today had a great time under good
conditions. Van even brought along his daughter, Valerie and Scott brought along
his grandson Henry. We are very glad to see the younger shooters coming out and
having fun at this sport.
Okay, next month’s match will be at Mormon Lake as long as there are no fires going on
up north. We will keep every one posted as we get closer to Saturday June 21. For more
information and to register, go to the club website at www.airgunnersofarizona.org and
check out the Match Registration page.
With nothing more to report, we hope to see all you next month!
Respectfully submitted,
Wayne Mauler
VP, Airgunners of Arizona, Inc.
