Match director Van Tucker was on site from Thursday afternoon until Monday
morning enjoying the high country scenery and cooler temperatures.
Experienced partly cloudy conditions throughout along with brief rain showers,
but not during the match.
Match conditions on Saturday saw partly cloudy skies with temps ranging from
68° to 71° and humidity in the low to mid-40%. Wind was “swirly” at 4 – 5 mph,
but with gusts between 13 – 18 mph at times. NWS reported wind direction to
constantly shift from northwest to southwest throughout.
20 shooters competed across the 8-lane course with 3 targets per lane, 2 shots
per target, for a 48-shot match. Lane 1 was designated as offhand for close and
mid target, and kneeling for far target. Course difficulty was recorded as 30.30
Troyer. Comments from shooters indicated that the course was favorable
without being overly difficult, but tough enough to make you shoot better.
