Field Target Club

TRAC match – November 17, 2020

This is mid-November and it seems unseasonably warm!  Today we had very bright sunshine in a cloudless sky with temps in the low 70’s at the beginning and end up in the upper 80’s by the end of the match.  A light breeze was present, that was still at moments, and coming from the 2:00 o’clock direction.  Second half of the match, the wind picked up to around 5 – 7 mph and coming from the 3:00 to 4:00 o’clock direction.  It was variable and buffeting.  By the end of the match, the wind was coming from the 5:00 o’clock direction and was definitely a factor.

This only bothered Mike a little bit as he was high score with a 39/40 and only missing a 1 ¼” KZ target at 45 yards.  He was shooting his Thomas.

Gene  36/40 – Red Wolf

Barry  35/40 -  Brocock Concept

Larry  34/40 – Tsar

Scott  33/40 – Marauder

Mark  29/40 – TX200

We had our 40-shot course laid out beyond the berms on the rifle silhouette range with our usual 5 lanes / move targets at halftime / 5 more lanes.

Nothing unusual this week except a lone tumbleweed blowing around, but not interrupting the match.

We will be on the pistol silhouette range this Saturday for our monthly match and hope to see most of you there.

Respectfully submitted.
