TRAC match – May 25, 2021

Four shooters this morning under favorable conditions. Temperature starting was 81 degrees and warmed to 88 degrees under hazy blue skies initially, but gradually clouded over with high, wispy cirrus clouds.  Humidity was in the low double digits and the winds were constant throughout at 7 – 9 mph out of the SE to SSE.  Overall, not too bad, or at least is what we have gotten accustomed to.

With so few shooters, we only set up 5 lanes / 2 targets per / shoot thru twice / 40-shot match.  No surprises today on the rifle silhouette range.

Old man Mike was high score 39/40 with his Thomas.

Barry shot 36/40 with his Redwolf.

Scott shot 33/40 with his Brocock Sniper.

Mark shot 32/40 with his TX200 springer.

The challenges today were in determining the target distances set between 50 and 55 yards.  We had a few of them.  The ¾ KZ weasel at almost 30 yards displayed its share of splits, but everything was doable albeit pushing the distance limits.

We are getting started around 9:00 after setting up at 8:30-ish, and finishing by about 11:00.  If you can break away on a Tuesday morning and want to shoot along, c’mon down!

Next two Tuesday’s we will be on the pistol silhouette range.
